Nectarine Honey Cakes

Nectarine Honey Cake | With Lovely,Call me crazy, but I think silicone ice cube trays might be surpassing mason jars as my favorite all-purpose cooking/crafting supply. What? you say? But mason jars are beautiful and simple and classic and amazing and ice cube trays are, well, ice cube trays.

I know, I know, but hear me out! They do more than make ice cubes (even super pretty ones). They make adorable popsicles and sugar scrub bars and fancy jello shots and, as I recently discovered, CAKES! (more…)

5 Lovely Summer Cocktails | With Lovely
I know I’m still jumping the gun a bit on summer, but it’s officially June now, and that’s close enough, right? I hope so, because I’ve been making tons of tasty frozen treats, eyeing some gorgeous beachy looks, and soaking up as much sun as I can find.

Homemade Dippin Dots

Homemade Dippin' Dots | With Lovely,Dippin Dots are one of those things I always just assumed you couldn’t make at home. When I stumbled on a recipe for homemade Dippin Dots last week, I was almost excited enough to buy some liquid nitrogen.

But liquid nitrogen is kind of a hassle, and I’m all about immediate rewards, so I decided to try to make my own—sans fancy equipment.

The results? A definite success! Turns out all you really need is wax paper, a ziploc bag, and a piping tip. (more…)

Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade

Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade // With Lovely,

I love fresh strawberries, but I have a terrible habit of forgetting I’ve bought them until they’re past their peak. So, what do you do when life gives you slightly overripe strawberries? Make strawberry kiwi lemonade, of course.

Bonus: the leftover strawberry kiwi pulp makes a great vitamin C brightening facial.  (more…)

Cinnamon Roll Croissants

Cinnamon Roll Croissants // With Lovely,I’m all about making things from scratch, but there’s also something to be said for going the semi-homemade route. It’s extremely satisfying, for instance, to whip up a batch of cinnamon roll croissants in less than half an hour.

These are worth making for the cream cheese glaze alone (my roommate said she could bathe in it; I unabashedly ate it by the spoonful). But the combo of flaky, buttery pastry and cinnamon sugar is also pretty swoon-worthy. (more…)

Mini Creamsicles

Mini Creamsicles

It almost feels like summer in SF, so naturally I’ve been craving popsicles. I prefer pretty much everything to be bite-sized, so I made these mini creamsicles using ice cube trays and toothpicks.

They’re the perfect size for a post-lunch treat, plus you can get away with using indulgent ingredients like heavy cream since the portions are small. (more…)
