Cotton Candy Lights on Buzzfeed!

DIY Cotton Candy Lights | With Lovely,
When Buzzfeed asked me to create a string lights DIY, I knew just what I wanted to make: cotton candy lights!

These have been on my mind since I first saw these amazing cloud lights on Makezine, and they turned out exactly as I’d hoped. They’d be perfect for an ice cream social, a carnival-themed nursery (cutest night lights ever!), or just an extra-adorable living room.

Hi! I love this idea. Do you know if it’s a fire hazard to use non-LED christmas lights underneath quilt batting to create this effect?

Thanks, Anna! That sounds adorable! I would think you’d be fine, as Christmas lights don’t get very hot and are designed to be in contact with a tree, but I am not 100% positive. If you are nervous/can’t find a definitive hazard, you could always make a garland version without the lights.
